Aisha Huang was recently detained for participating in criminal activities in the nation, including those that were related to galamsey. After being deported in 2017, it is believed that she entered the nation across the border with Togo.

An Accra High Court remanded Aisha Huang, and she and three other defendants are scheduled to reappear on September 14th. Aisha Huang will face legal action for both recent and previous  offences, according to the Attorney General's office.

You may recall that Aisha Huang rose to prominence as the head of an illicit mining operation in 2017. She was deported after being detained for the same act, therefore the state dropped its case against her.
