This year’s ‘Te Za’ which means Yam Celebration marks four years after it was last celebrated. It is a festival celebrated by the people of Ho and its neighboring communities.

Every September, people take the opportunity to thank God, as well as other deities and ancestors, for a plentiful harvest and to make wishes for wealth and wellbeing.

This year’s celebration saw an extra significant display of culture and tradition in grand style.

 The four traditional communities that make up Asogli, Akoefe, Ho, Kpenoe, and Takla, came together to exhibit their rich culture. 
Chiefs and inhabitants of Asogli met on Saturday September 10th at Ho Jubilee Park to celebrate the culmination of the event with a durbar.
 
  The festival included numerous events like expos, food trucks, traffic jams, promotions,    health checks, and displays of diverse groups' rich cultural acts.The former president of    Ghana and his entourage, as well as other traditional leaders, diplomats, government       
  officials, religious leaders, and people from all walks of life who wanted to experience        this year's celebration were among the dignitaries present at the durbar.

  The special guest speaker was His Ex Sugandh Rajaram, High Commissioner of India to      Ghana.

Togbe Afede XIV

Togbe Afede XIV, the president of the Asogli state, spoke during the festival on general economic issues, politics, partnerships and sponsorship for his state, sponsors, donors, and the overall contribution that this year's festival wants to bring in for both the Asogli state and the Volta region.

He acknowledges the advancements the state has made and discusses his efforts to promote harmony, togetherness, growth, and cooperation among his people and with investors who are considering making investments in this area and state.
